N climate change office was taking the lead in drafting the plan.
The U,P said it would continue to support the UN. as it works on a climate change strategy.
“The UBNC has a responsibility to safeguard the environment and the livelihoods of people and communities in the U and to ensure that the United Nations is not ignored by the economic elite,” the statement said.
The plan has been called the most ambitious climate action plan in history and the most expensive ever.
It is the latest in a series of proposals from the U.,N.
to protect the environment in the face of climate change.
In February, the world body said it will spend $100 billion on climate mitigation, including $50 billion for developing a green economy, and will spend another $100 million for a green-cooperation economy.
