President Donald Trump will unveil a new $3 trillion stimulus package on Tuesday, according the White House.
The president is expected to use the announcement to make his case for a massive stimulus package that would provide $3,000 in federal assistance to every American in their first year of living with the flu.
Trump will also sign the plan on the White Houses website, according a White Houses press release.
The White House released the text of the new package after Trump’s speech at the White house on Monday.
The administration estimates that the $3 billion in assistance would give families in the first two years of life $100 to $200 more than under current programs.
The program would provide a cash infusion to households with children, elderly parents and disabled people and also include $250 to $300 per child in the second year of life.
Trump was also expected to announce additional federal spending for the next four years to help states and localities meet their emergency needs, according another White House statement.
